Ms. Lambeth has more than 15 years of experience in the health care industry as a CPA and attorney and has worked extensively in the area of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement. Her practice focuses on Medicare reimbursement, fraud and abuse, physician self-referrals (“Stark law”), licensure and certification, and other administrative and regulatory healthcare matters. Before practicing law in Austin, Ms. Berliner was an associate attorney in the Washington, D.C., offices of two nationally recognized health care firms. Ms. Berliner received her J.D. from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 1988. During law school, Ms. Berliner was a legal fellow in the Office of U.S. Senator George J. Mitchell (then Chairman of the Senate Finance Health Subcommittee), and was a law clerk with the American Health Care Association. Prior to that, she earned her B.A. in Political Science and Spanish from Tufts University (Medford, Massachusetts). Ms. Berliner is licensed to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Texas. She has spoken on legal issues affecting home health agencies at the National Association for Home Care’s (now the National Association for Home Care & Hospice) annual conferences in 1995 and 1996.
